This seminar is about Energy Informatics. It is not about Green IT.

 

It is about the application and adaption of the large body of achievements in Informatics for addressing current and future challenges in the Energy Domain.

Time and location

The current plan is to split the seminar in two phases

 

a bi-weekly reading group during the semester

and a presentation phase end of February 2011

 

 

In the first phase we will have an overview of the general topic, and then dive into 7 more concrete areas.

We will discuss these areas jointly in these meetings, based on information and backgroud material studied beforehand individually.

These discussions will be moderated by two students per area.

 

In the second phase each participant will give a formal presentation of around 45 min about an algorithmic problem and solution from his area.

This will happen in the form of a block event in late February or early March.
