Title

Energy consumption in Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks

Content

A particular challenge in the context of ad-hoc and sensor networks is posed by the need for economic utilisation of energy ressources. As a consequence, more and more involved mechanisms for energy saving have been proposed. This thesis explores a selection of state-based energy saving mechansims. Models of these mechanisms will be developed and evaluated with respect to their adequacy in typical usage scenarios.
