I am a PhD student at the chair of Prof. Holger Hermanns in the group of Dr. Andreas Schmidt since October 2023.
My research interests revolve around space technologies and energy-aware systems.
I completed my Master’s degree in Computer Science at the end of 2023 with a thesis on “Routing in Low-Earth Orbit: A Performance Comparison”, in which we investigated methods and benchmarks to create a comparable evaluation of routing algorithms for satellite constellations in low-Earth orbit using simulation methodologies.
I contribute to ongoing research in the areas of space networks and sustainability in computing. Specifically, I am working on the FLoRaSat project led by Dr. Juan Fraire and was co-responsible for the simulation of the orbital environment of the satellites, the dynamic creation and configuration of satellite constellations, and the simulation of an accurate routing topology. In addition, I am working on a Linux operating system daemon called carbond that provides operational and embodied carbon intensities to the operating system under the supervision of Dr. Andreas Schmidt. The aim is to provide methods to make an operating system carbon and energy-aware.
